Conrad Maldives Airport Lounge at Malé International Seaplane Terminal
A holiday at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort is an experience in itself and it all begins with a visit to the Conrad Maldives Airport Lounge. Once you land at Malé International Airport and have cleared customs you will see all the different resort booths set up. You just need to find the Conrad Maldives booth where you will be greeted by a Conrad representative and escorted to the Trans Maldivian Seaplane check-in area.
Trans Maldivian Airlines have luggage restrictions for their seaplane flights – maximum 20kg check-in luggage and 5kg hand luggage per person. All bags get weighed upon check-in so be sure to pack lightly. Once checked in your Conrad representative will transport you by mini-van to the Conrad Maldives Airport Lounge at the seaplane terminal which is about a 5 minute drive.
Once at the lounge you will be greeted by a Conrad staff member who looks after your seaplane booking and will advise you of an approximate waiting time until your seaplane departs. Seaplanes are allocated based on lounge arrival so waiting times can vary, we only had to wait about half an hour.
The Conrad Maldives Airport Lounge is a really nice comfortable lounge with large comfy couches where you can enjoy watching the seaplanes take off and land. If you prefer the outdoors there is a terrace outside as well.
While waiting in the lounge you can help yourself to various hot and cold snacks and drinks available (no alcohol however).
If you need to freshen up after a long flight there are showers available as well as a massage therapist who will provide a complimentary 10 minute neck and back massage.
When travelling with young children there is a little kids playroom to help keep them occupied.
Seaplane Transfer to the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort
The Seaplane transfer to Conrad Maldives Rangali Island takes about half an hour and is quite a scenic trip. Our flight was pretty smooth, but on windy days could get a bit bumpy.
On arrival at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island you are greeted by a team of staff members including your own designated guest service agent who looks after you for your entire stay.

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island to Malé Airport
Your return seaplane transfer to Malé will depend on your flight time out of Malé International Airport. As we had a midnight flight we were granted a 4.00pm check-out. The seaplane departed around 45 minutes after check-out. The Conrad Maldives has a little waiting lounge you can use when waiting for your seaplane departure.
After arriving back at the Malé seaplane terminal around 5.15pm we headed back to the Conrad Maldives Airport Lounge to bide some time before we had to head over to the International Airport. Lounge access for us was complimentary due to our HHonors Diamond status but if you are not a Diamond member then charges apply for the lounge between 5.00pm and 11.30pm as you are treated to a full three course meal cooked up by an on-hand chef.
The food was beautiful and as it was only us and one other couple in the lounge that night, it was like we were on our little private dinner date. After dinner we were driven over to the International Airport Terminal by Conrad staff.
At $500 USD per person the seaplane transfer is not cheap but it is definitely memorable and the staff at the Conrad Maldives do everything to ensure your trip runs smoothly.’
