InterContinental Sydney Hotel Review

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the InterContinental Sydney, and it was an experience to remember. Located near Circular Quay, the hotel offers stunning views of the Sydney Harbour, Opera House, and Harbour Bridge. The moment I walked in, the blend of heritage and modern design was evident, setting the stage for a memorable stay.

Location and First Glimpse

The hotel’s central location made it perfect for exploring Sydney. From the grand lobby to the attentive staff, every detail felt luxurious and welcoming. The historic building’s charm adds to the hotel’s character, making it an ideal base for sightseeing.

The Room: A Harbour View Delight

My room, with views of the Harbour Bridge, was spacious and beautifully decorated. The king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, and the marble bathroom with a rain shower was a nice touch.

The room also featured an espresso machine, adding an extra layer of indulgence. The only downside was the TV, which felt a bit outdated compared to the rest of the modern amenities.

Dining: Exceptional Flavours

Café Opera impressed with its generous breakfast buffet, offering fresh, local options. The Treasury Bar provided a great spot for cocktails, while the Aster Rooftop Bar stood out with its panoramic views and vibrant atmosphere. It was the perfect place to enjoy a sunset cocktail with stunning city views.

Wellbeing: Relax and Unwind

The hotel’s rooftop pool offered breathtaking views of the Harbour, making it a perfect place to relax. The gym is well-equipped, and although I didn’t indulge in the spa, the wellness offerings seemed top-notch.

Overall Impression: A Truly Unforgettable Stay

Overall, my stay at the InterContinental Sydney was fantastic. The location, views, and excellent service made it an unforgettable experience. While the TV could use an upgrade, it didn’t take away from the luxury and comfort of the stay.

If I had to rate it, I’d give it a solid 4.7 out of 5 — a beautifully located hotel with warm hospitality and world-class views, perfect for a Sydney getaway.
