Halloween in Disneyland Park California

Happy Halloween! Thought I would share a few of my favourite Halloween pics from when we were at Disneyland. Love how the clouds sat perfectly that day—it added the perfect spooky-but-magical vibe to everything.

Main Street, U.S.A.: Pumpkin Paradise

The moment we stepped onto Main Street, U.S.A., it was like being dropped into a Halloween movie. Pumpkins everywhere—in windows, on balconies, and of course, the massive Mickey Pumpkin right in the middle. It’s impossible not to stop and grab a photo (or ten).

Haunted Mansion Holiday: Jack Skellington Takes Over

One of the best parts? The Haunted Mansion completely transforms into a “Nightmare Before Christmas” wonderland. Jack Skellington takes over, and the details are insane—from the creepy wreaths to the gingerbread house in the ballroom scene. Even if you’ve been on the ride before, this version hits different in October.

Disney Characters in Costume

It was so fun seeing the characters dressed up in their Halloween outfits—Minnie as a witch, Donald in his pumpkin getup. They really go all out. The vibe is playful, not scary, which made it perfect for families and kids running around in costume too.

It reminded me of the fun changes in Disneyland’s daytime parade since our last visit.

Sweet Treats & Nighttime Glow

We couldn’t resist trying a few of the Halloween snacks—churros with orange sugar, pumpkin-spiced everything, and spooky caramel apples that were too pretty to eat (but we ate them anyway). When the sun went down, the park glowed with purple lights and eerie music. Pure Halloween magic.

Overall Experience

There’s something about Disneyland at Halloween that feels extra special. The decorations, the energy, the attention to detail—it’s all so well done. It’s festive without being over-the-top scary. Just enough spooky, just enough Disney. Already dreaming of going back. This trip was truly one of the best weekends at Disneyland we’ve had.
