Hotel Review of the Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport
If we ever have early morning flights out of Melbourne, our choice of airport hotel is the Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport. With park and stay packages available, we always beat the traffic and get to the hotel early enough to relax and enjoy a good nights sleep. In the morning it’s always hassle free using the shuttle bus to get to the airport.
Rooms
As a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) we stay in a 2 Double Bed Superior Room. These comfortable rooms are just the right size for a one night stay. The rooms are soundproof so you don’t hear any airplane noise.
Rooms come complete with a mini bar, coffee-making facilities and room safe.
The bathroom is roomy enough but does have an all in one bath/shower.
Don’t expect too much of a view from the rooms, but for a one night stay that’s not an issue.

Vargas Restaurant & Bar
Open from 6.00am for breakfast, lunch and dinner – Vargas Restaurant is a great place to have a nice meal. We have only had dinner here but it was simply delicious!
Vargas is very family friendly, kids under 12 stay and eat free and the menus feature healthy options for kids.
There is also a separate Bar if you just want to grab a drink and light snack.
Conclusion
The Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport is our go to hotel whenever we have an early morning flight out of Melbourne. Staying here the night before a flight and getting a good nights sleep certainly beats the hassle of worrying about getting stuck in traffic when rushing to catch a flight. Onsite airport parking is available here at $20 per day.
